A nationally recognized and respected leader in the home health and hospice industry, Susan Freeman’s 33 years of experience in the post-acute arena includes more than 20 years in hospice.
A nursing graduate of Middle Tennessee State University, Susan was immediately drawn to caring for patients in their home. “The home is where everyone, including patients, wants to be and it is a privilege to be able to care for people in such a personal way.”
Susan eventually combined her love of patient care with the use of technology as a Director of IT where her early innovation garnered her organization recognition as a technology leader in the post-acute industry. Susan’s expertise has fortified her reputation as an industry expert, as she frequently speaks at conferences across the country and also represents St. Croix Hospice on the client advisory board of Forcura, a healthcare workflow management company.
In her most recent position, Susan was Chief Operating Officer for a large integrated home health and hospice provider in the southern United States where she also served on the Executive Board for the Alabama Hospice and Palliative Care Organization before relocating to Minnesota.
